Hello, friends! My name is Michelle Thorstrom. My husband, Tyler, and I own Damsel in this Dress. The cute kids in the pictures are named Brynn and Todd. They're our little minions and future sweatshop slaves. Yes, if I have anything to do with it, Brynn will be whipping out corsets by the time she's potty trained!

We started this business shortly after we got married. My husband was going to college, and I was working at a wedding dress shop as head seamstress and making costumes to sell for ebay on the side.

Out of the blue, I decided to try my hand at vending at a renaissance festival, so we found one near us, made a pile of corsets, and travelled to the Utah Midsummer Renaissance Festivals.

Lo and behold, it was one of the funnest, most rewarding experiences of my life! From that point on, I knew that was what I wanted to do. My marvelous husband quit his current job to help me with cutting out patterns and grommeting. And here we are!

We travel the country vending at ren-fests, selling quality corsets, and making women feel beautiful and romantic again! I am actually living one of my dreams, and it is amazing. My little family is so blessed, we hope we can bless the lives of others, even if it's through corsets! So I guess the moral of the story is...
